Candle Care
To get the best burn from your candle and keep it looking its best, follow these simple steps:
Trim Your Wick
Before every burn, trim the wick to about ¼ inch. This keeps the flame steady, prevents soot, and helps your candle last longer.
Let the Wax Pool
Allow your candle to burn until the entire top layer has melted to the edges — usually 2 to 3 hours. This prevents tunneling and gives you an even, long-lasting burn.
Burn Safely
Always place your candle on a stable, heat-safe surface away from drafts, children, and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep It Clean
If you see any debris, wick trimmings, or matches in the wax, remove them before lighting. A clean surface keeps your burn smooth and even.
Don’t Overdo It
Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Extinguish it, let it cool, trim the wick, and relight when you’re ready.
Extinguish With Care
Use a snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax to put out the flame. Blowing can cause soot and uneven burn.
Stop at the Bottom
When only ½ inch of wax remains, it’s time to retire your candle. This protects your vessel from overheating or cracking.
